Cremo/Bigelow Users

I have been using Bigelow almost exclusively for the last couple of weeks. However, I picked up a tube of Cremo yesterday to try. I like to use both soap and cream to build a lather. The question I have is does it take more or less water to build a good lather with Cremo? I have hard water but the lathers I have been building with Bigelow have been super slick and thick. Tried lathering up the Cremo with about the same amount of water and have not had very good luck. Thanks.

I put a blob of Cremo in with my Arko puck or an ancient puck of Palmolive shaving soap. Great combination, the best of both products.

Cremo is a brushless cream, try to build the lather using your fingers/hands.

Cremo won't lather much at all, but it is super slick and loves water.

ditto.

I use it brushless while traveling or...

as the best superlather ever!

I superlather it with P.160 Morbido to get the slickest, most moisturizing lather ever:thumbup:

I just wet my face and work the Cremo in by hand. Eventually you figure out a feel for much is enough. Haven't tried it as an ingredient for superlather yet though. I love my KMF Lime and Lime Ice combo too much.

Cremo works for me but it takes about 5 minutes with a brush get anything. It does love water and I find it works best by adding a lot of water but a little at a time. If you're not patient then you shouldn't try using it with I brush. I use it sometimes for small touch ups but I don't use it much unless I have tons of time or mixing it with something else (which has already been said many times to be amazing).

I've used it on the brush with erasmic stick directly on the face and directly on the face with the brush in whatever puck hits me that day - either works up a nice, usable, very slick lather. When used alone I apply directly to face and face lather-not a ton of lather but still a great shave.

I forgot to add that a boar brush seems to work better with this cream as opposed to most which seem to be better with badger.

I use a brush with Cremo and it will lather but not the same as most other soaps/creams, much lighter lather but super slick. Works great at my GF's where most other stuff i tried didnt becuz of the hard water. No peaks of lathery goodness for sure though. What I do is lather some on my face then just keep adding water till it starts to foam actually yeah foam is more like what happens instead of lather per se. Need to use more product as well prob about twice as much as with a normal cream. I used it without a brush once and it worked fine but my brush felt neglected.

Maybe I should try using more cream in the bowl. Shaved with it this morning but was still disappointed. I got a decent shave but it wasn't as slick as the Bigelow or Indian Old Spice cream I have.

I've been using Cremo on & off for a while now. I've been using it with a brush, even though it's designed as a brushless cream. It doesn't lather like other creams that are designed to be used with a brush. I find that I use more product than I do with other creams. The lather I get from it gives me a good shave however.
