Cremo at CVS

Gents,

Recently discovered a great new cream at CVS. Its called Creamo, and it is sold at CVS in tube form. I like to bowl mix with my brush, so what I do, is pre soak my puck of Williams while showering, to give it time to soften just a little.
Then, after shower I squeeze a nickel size dollop of Creamo on top of the puck in the bowl. Add in my pre soaked Boar Brush, stir for about 5 minutes, and the most luxurious shaving cream is produced.
Try it out. Creamo Shave Cream.:thumbup1:

If you like the Creamo check your local Walmart. I was shopping a few days ago and my store had it for $3.79 a tube and it had a 50 cent coupon on it.

Thanks. I picked up 2 tubes at the sale price. I use Creamo in my Dopp kit. Nice slick cream that's great for travel because it is brushless.

Not wanting to be the spelling police but in case others are looking for this product the correct spelling is Cremo Shave Cream. It comes in a white tube with red lettering, 6 ounces and it has a nice, fresh orange smell. Really slick cream, can be used brush less. At one point you could go to their web site and get a rebate that essentially made the cream free.

Gents, thank you. When I posted, I apparently spelled it incorrectly. It is indeed Cremo, and I also was able to find some at Wal-Mart for the same $3.79 you spoke of rotto66. I don't use this on its own, but I like to brush it up with my Williams mug soap. Creates a super thick luxurious lather that's amazing.

I do the exact same thing sometimes. I don't know if it's the williams or the creamo, but that stuff sure is slick!

The Cremo stuff is good to apply to your face before you face lather with shave soap. Every time I do this routine, I finish a shave nick-free! Definitely some slick stuff!

Funny, the latest episode (episode 5) of the BrushNSoapNBlade podcast talks about how good the Cremo is but is mentions how little 'resistance' it provides for the blade due to how incredibly smooth it is - and that that can be a problem of sort :)

I'll have to give the Cremo as pre-soap a try. I bought a tube from Walmart and have used it in my rotation. It's a decent product at its price point. I use it with brush. Lathers well and is really slick.

As brushless creams go, Cremo is an excellent performer. It does take a little more effort to rinse off the razor between passes.

I'm not crazy about the scent, but it works OK. Better in a superlather than straight, IMO. And it makes an acceptable pre-shave product. I won't buy it again, but I'll use all I have eventually.

I saw this at CVS over the weekend as well. I almost picked up a tube, but didn't. They also had a soap...I think it was Williams MUG or something like that? No safety razors unfortunately, but was glad to see some shave cream. I'll probably pick some up next time I'm out. Definitely want to try a brushless.

While at our local Walmart the other day, I remembered this thread and thought I would look in the shave asile to see if they had any Cremo. Sure enough, they had three tubes. They were $3.79 each w/ an instant $.75 off coupon attached. I bought two tubes. Yes, it is good stuff at a good price, though I didn't find it much different from any of my other tube shave creams. Much better price though.

I too use Cremo on my face for pre shave and then bowl lather a soap or cream. Works great slick and no nicks and I am a rookie.
