Has anyone out there been fortunate enough it she'll out $85 plus for a bowl of this shaving soap? It must be the most expensive shaving soap in shavedom.is it worth it or would my hard earned cash be wiser spent on something more modest?

I have a bowl of Green Irish Tweed, and I am very impressed with the soap's performance. It is easy to lather, produces a slick and stable lather, and smells great.
I used to use the Vetiver quite a bit until recently. Decided to just sell it. Had the GIT for a while and loved it as well. Just found though that MdC was superior so sold that too and now just use that.
I do tend to think of GIT though due to the scent. I wonder how close it is to the MdC fougere...

IMO, the GIT is way, way beyond the MdC Fougere. I can smell the GIT soap from outside the bathroom. And, different notes than the MdC.

Creed GIT is the only thing on my Christmas list for my wife to buy me....i look forward to it. 
If they had silver mountain water cream or soap I would be on it like a fat kid on a ice cream cone.

Yes, I found the GIT packed full of scent which just got louder when I lathered it. Still, the MdC was more moisturising and more protecting for me, but as I said, I have only ever tried the original scented. If the fougere is lighter, I may just stick to what I have.

Wish I could afford it; I own both GIT and Original Vetiver frags by Creed.
