Creed Must Tries?

I'm thinking of ordering some Creed samples from Beauty Encounter, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for some Creed "must tries."
I'm currently planning on getting GIT and Aventus, and maybe Original Vetyver. Any others that are must tries?

The only two fragrances I presently have are L'eau d'Issey and Cool Water, and I like them both. I know CW is a copy of GIT, hence my decision there.

If you have a Nordstroms that is close, stop and they will give you samples of Creed for free. I am new to fragrance and am still trying to figure out what I like. I stopped at the local Nordstroms and the nice lady at the Creed counter made samples of Aventus, Original Vetiver and Tabarome for me. She also made samples of the fragrances she though I would like. I was given enough juice to wear several times. I love Aventus and OV. The OV only lasted 1-2 hours on me. I hated Tabarome, it smelled like nail polish remover to me. But now I feel like I need to go back and get some Aventus.

Ah, good to know. I do have a Nordstrom Rack in a mall near me. Maybe I'll go there and ask for some samples. I hope they are as generous as your experience was.

You have some good ones already but definitely go for Millesime Imperial as well. This scent is just luscious in the summer!!!

Definitely try the GIT and Aventus.
They are so popular you need to see for yourself why.
Maybe it's just hype or maybe they are just that good.

I love the Bois du Portugal, Original Santal and Himalya scents. They are easy going and just slide right in to any situation.
Mind you the Original Santal smells a bit like Bounce dryer sheets.

I have yet to try Virgin Island Water, but I do know that it's quite popular in the Summer.

You would probably find something you like among these:

Aventus
Green Irish Tweed
Silver Miuntain Water
Millesime Imperial
Original Vetiver
Erolfa
Himalaya

+1 I have bottles of all of these except for Aventus. I have a sample of Aventus and I'll probably end up with a bottle of it someday as well. Bois du Portugal is another must try.

There must be some place near Grand Rapids, Michigan that carries Creed.

Is this place anywhere near you RiverTown Crossings, 3700 RiverTown Parkway, Grandville, Michigan 49418? There is supposedly a Perfumania there and Pefumania carries some Creed according its web sites.

I would say that you do not really need sample. Use a different tester on each arm and check out the results over time.

I wonder if Creed knows Beauty Encounter is selling samples?

Archerfire is great!

Good luck!

The only "official" Creed store in Michigan, according to Creed's website, is a Neiman Marcus in Troy. While I like good fragrances, I don't like them enough to drive across the state. I'll check out Perfumania, though. I just think that fragrances are not terribly popular in my area. I never really smell anyone wearing one at all, outside of the horrible Axe body spray I used to be subjected to in high school and university.

Cool Water isn't a copy of GIT.

The problem with Creeds is that different batches have different longevities and different characteristics. Current Millesime Imperial lasts 8 hours on me, while that made 8 years ago wouldn't last 3 hours. The Virgin Island Water I tried didn't last an hour on me, but others swear they get 8 hours or more out of it. The Royal Water I tried in a shop was a nice unisex scent. The one that arrived in the mail was unambiguosly feminine and I gave it to my wife (and for some weird reason our tabby cat was totally intoxicated with it when my wife wore it).

I have GIT, Himalaya, Silver Mountain Water, Original Vetiver, Original Santal, Tabarome Millesime and Erolfa. Erolfa is my most disappointing - while it smells great I only get around 3 hours with strength out of it.
Aventus is the standout for longevity, Royal Oud has longevity but as a skin scent with little projection, and Bois de Portugal has good longevity too, but doesn't project much on me.

Renato

Alas, the ones you must try - Vintage Tabarome, Cuir de Russie, Royal English Leather - are the very ones that you can't try.

I had the same thought. Windsor, Feuille Verte, Vetiver (1948), also. I am not so fond of the last one, but many are, and to know the Creed line, it would be good to try this one.

The thing with Creed is there is such a wide range of well crafted scents, I don't know what "shouldn't" be tried.
