Creed Green Irish Tweed

I know it may be expensive but my boss let me borrow his Green Irish Tweed soap over the weekend and :w00t: it was freaking awesome! I had a little bit of trouble lathering and figured the water ratio this morning before taking it back. I had to weigh how much I loved my job but I gave it back.

After I recover from Christmas Im definitely ordering a puck. Anyone else love it?

I don't think it has tallow but I have a softer feel than what MWF leaves behind. The scent is what is the best though.

My boss (CEO) and I have a great love hate relationship. He loves to hate UCLA and I love to hate USC.

I found it at their boutique in NYC. Ask for Louis if you buy it, he knows his stuff. Not just on the fragrances but knew everything about what soaps are still in circulation.

Does it have tallow in it?

EDIT: Have any of you tried Creed's vetiver shaving soap? How is that one?

I have the Original Vetiver. It's very moisturising and has an awesome scent to it. I believe I am a little bit sensitive to the lanolin though - I get a bit of a sting on the second pass. Nonetheless, I have posted a review of it (Review section).

Interestingly, I find that I get the best shaves from those soaps and creams which sting a little. (If you ever decide to part with the Vetiver, you know where to find me :wink2:)

Ah, you mean like the Acqua di Parma cream? That gave me a wee sting too, but nothing serious at all. The lather from that was just superb.

Thanks for the information. I just called the closest Neiman Marcus and she actually knows what I am looking for and checking the availabilty of it for me. I may have to put this on the list to try out.

Given that GIT has lanolin in it, does it have similar characteristics to MWF?

Depending on the hardness of your water, where ever you may be located on this wonderful planet, is it difficult to generate a good lather?

Out of curiosity, does Acqua di Parma cream have the same scent as SMN Crema da Barba and Proraso?

I love MWF and I did have a little trouble with lathering GIT at first try. 3rd day I had it worked out and does not need as much work as MWF but I would suggest to face lather.

Skin felt soft as MWF.
