Creams for a newbie

From what I understand, even though I haven't tried it myself, Palmolive cream provides great lather at a reduced price. I don't know if it is available in your region. I have some Proraso cream, which is perhaps two to three times more expensive than Palmolive (but still reasonable I would say) and I'm extremely happy with how easy it is to make great lather from it.

Proraso (or rebranded C O Bigelow) makes an inexpensive, top rate cream. Bath & Body Works sometimes has a "buy two, get the third free" sale that includes C O Bigelow products.

Well, I am still a noob - but, I am really liking C.O. Bigelow from Bath & Body Works, you can get a small tube for like $5 bucks to see if you like it.

I agree, C.O. Bigelow from Bath and Body Works. Kiss My Face Moisture Shave is another great cream. Pretty easy to find in stores, so no shipping. If I had to pick only one for the rest of my life though, C.O. Bigelow. Almost forgot...The Real Shaving Company Cream. You could buy it at Rite Aide and Wallgreeens for like 6-7$. This stuff is awesome!!! It works just as good as creams that cost twice as much. These 3 creams are my main go to's.

Definitely C.O. Bigelow at Bath & Body Works. Or you could get Proraso or Razorock (check out Italianbarber.com for the last two)

I'm assuming you are here in the states. +1 for the C.O. Bigelow and Kiss My Face that has already been mentioned.

Bang for buck hard to beat these three.

Arko is a solid cream at a knock down price. Great value, particularly if you are just learning how to build lather. I paid $3 for a tube of it from Shoe Box shaving.

KMF (Kiss My Face) is sold in gigantic pump bottles at Whole Foods, if I recall correctly. Real Shave Company Cream is sometimes bought and rebranded as a much more expensive cream, and it performs far above its price point. Another one is Trader Joe's latherless shave cream. It smells excellent, and is incredibly slick. I have used it a few times with fairly good results.
