Cream or Soap???

C&E is good for which? Soap or Cream? Cream or Soap?

Since C&E is having a sale, although I don't know for how long so I must act quickly, I would like to get a consensus on what people like the most. I've tried the sandalwood cream and have to say that it takes quite a bit of cream to get the lather. For the cost I'm not so sure this appeals to me, hopefully the other creams and the soaps are different. C&E soaps or creams?

Everybody likes a good poll!

I like the almond oil, although I'm not as passionate about it as most are. It's nice put pales to the Sienna IMO.
Cheers,

I quick question I forgot to ask, can you melt C&E soaps?

Kyle,

I didn't vote because I like them both! My main reason for replying is to answer your question. Can C&E soaps be melted? The answer is...eventually! C&E soaps are not what I call a soft soap, or a glycerine based soaps. Glycerine soaps go into the microwave solid and come out liquid. Soaps that I call hard soaps, like the C&E soaps, go into the microwave solid and come out ugly and solid. Hard soaps (some are triple milled) like this can be melted if you take the time to grate them down finely, then using a double boiler, slowly heat them until you reach the breaking point that they do melt. I've never done it. Too much work. For soaps like C&E, I recommend you leave them alone, or run the risk of ruining a good soap.

Have you tried changing your water to cream ratio? I've never needed to use more soap to get an adequate amount of lather. I use about the size of an almond. I personally love their soaps and creams.

I've changed my mind on C&E's creams. I think my (municipal swamp) water quality is the main culprit in my earlier underwhelmed opinion of them. After installing water filtration, I'm just as happy with their creams as with their soaps.

The soaps and creams are both fine products. I believe the Sandalwood cream (and Edt, and balm....) should be in every gents toiletry locker.

FYI - TJMaxx has C&E almond cream on sale for $8
Picked some more up today. When I saw it I couldn't help myself. They had some really nice shave bags too!
