I think it is a Gillette New Improved. At least that's what I'm telling myself mine are... :biggrin:

No, it's definitely an Old Type. they didn't use those handles for NI's, as far as I can see in Krumholz. I can't tell what kind of old type it is though...
 
I think i need Krumholtz!

In one e-batch, i got a bunch of handles and head-types, a couple similar to your photo, but I'm not sure what they are or belong to! :confused:

It's definitely an Old Style made from 1906 to I think 1921. The ones prior to 1906 had double flared rings at the top. This is from a 1915 ad. It has the single flared ring at the top like yours:

The New Improved did not have any rings around the bottom whereas the Old style has two.

From left to right:
Old Type Double Ring only 1904 to 1906
Old Type Single Ring since 1906
New Improved since 1921

The Old Type and the New Improved has an different head

So THAT'S wht I've got! Good to know! Unfortunately they all have cracks in the handles!

These are the ones for thicker blades? Are they usable with modern blade?
