I’ve seen that one somewhere before
Quite possibly the most beautiful stone ever quarried. Used to belong to Gary Haywood.
I've coveted that stone for ages!

Stone rescue of the week. Stopped by one of my honey-hole junk shop and this was there. A lonely 7” coticule that lost it’s mate. Surprised it survived this long in a box of junk. It’s was a “I can’t believe I got it so cheap” or “I can’t believe he gave me that much for it” type of deal. We both were smiling. Luckily, a long while ago, I scored a 7 inch long BBW looking for a mate. Time to make a marrage. A little sanding, epoxy, and clamps and now I got something to work with. Removed extra epoxy with a work knife, some sanding and lapping to bring back to life. The finished stone, after lapping, has a clean, uniform surface with a nice blush and ended up with a invisible glue line. The vintage coticule population has increased by one and now I have a stone that will be going strong long after I assume room temperature
