Coti and stone Id help and opinions wanted

So i one a ebay belgian coticule for like $35 and the guy offers me another stone for $15 extra he says that he thinks its a naniwa 8000 grit 8 3/4” x 2 3/4” x 3/4” thick but he cant be 100%. What do you guys think it is and is it a good buy or no. Im looking to get a real cheap starting kit and upgrade when i get better. I would also like some opinions on the coticule was it a good buy or no it measure 5 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" deep. $IMG_3398.jpg$IMG_3399.jpg$$T2eC16ZHJHIE9nysezCsBQW4bMYE8w~~60_57.jpg$IMG_3184.jpg$IMG_3185.jpg

You want to know what the stone is with the plastic base? Looks like a King synthetic to me. You will probably need more up close pictures of the bout to be able to tell.

Somebody here ought to be able to make out the Japanese inscription in the second to last shot. A shot of writing on the other end would also help. $15 for a King 8k would be a good deal. Weird the way the siding is on it though. I've heard of King 8ks crumbling when stored in water for extended periods. Could this be evidence of it?

Edit: Gotta say it. The base does look like the base on the Naniwa example that Doc linked.

It could be Rick, the line on mine is so straight that from a distance it would look like a glued one.

I agree now I didn't look at the top picture, you can see the glue filling a void on the left side of the first picture.

Hard to tell from pictures. It's hard sometimes with the coticule in your hand. I'd guess La Dressante, though. No idea with the synth.

I want to say I really appreciate all your guys input on this and that the coticule is glued, and here is another pic of yellow stone$IMG_3183.jpg Im unsure of what it is but he said it is a 8000 grit but im worried about the flaking on the sides, is it still usable or not.
