Hey guys, one more razor with suspected cel rot. I can't pick up a vinegar aroma, but I'm pretty sure this cracked ice appearance is the clue.

The only thing that looks questionable is what appears to be discoloration on the scale at the pivot, (it may just be the photo) and lack of shine on the pin, tang and tail, again that may be the photo.

If you suspect it, keep it segregated from you other razors. The first sign is usually discoloration of the scales and fine rust on the steel.

You don’t always get the smell, or discoloration. There were many formulations. It is interesting that no-one has replicated that Cracked Ice pattern, there are some similar but not that exact pattern that was so popular.
