Cool site for travelers

Gents, I sometimes travel for business. I usually shy away from hotel restaurants and detest eating fast food. I often wonder where are the good places in town. Here is a cool site for folks that travel to different cities looking for decent restaurants.

http://roadfood.com/

It's cool that you can search by city.

I listened to this couple on NPR today. Is it coincidence, or did you hear about it there, too?

They were talking about a Polish Boy in Cleveland it made me H U N G R Y.

I heard it on Splendid Tables. It's a great show.

I travel a lot, and this kind of thing is a Godsend. Thanks.
It's now a link on my laptop and phone.
It gets pretty tiring eating at the same old chains every day.

I've been using Roadfood as a source for years. I always check for good value, non-chain restaurants, before I travel to new areas. They're usually spot on.

I just did a test of the site and typed in Tampa, FL and Fort Lauderdale - places that have excellent restaurants. Their list of restaurants was not very impressive - most were 50+ miles away.

For iPhone and iPad users, the Yelp app is very useful too. You can search restaurants, bars, coffee shops and other types of businesses as well based on your GPS location.
