Hello! I just joined and this is my first post.
I found this razor in my Dad's old stuff and can't find anything about it other than the patent information from 1887 which I attached. The patent was filed by Gustavus Rein in St. Louis but the razor appears to be Swedish. Though, the only information that appears on the razor itself in the patent info. All the other info is on the blade, so I guess it's possible the blade could be from another razor. The blade has Joh. Engstrom Eskilstuna, but all I found from that were straight razors. The blade also has GARANTI on the other side.
I'm guessing the extra handle is to be able to hold the blade for sharpening, but I've seen people also say it could be used as a shavette? Any help on identifying this would be appreciated.
