considering chubby 3 - in addition to 2

I need your opinion - especially from those who have used chubby 2 and 3.

I am considering chubby 3 - I love the 2 and it is an excellent brush and serves my needs well. Adding chubby 3 - would that be any different?
I will be using these mainly for soaps.


Would loading take the same time and effort?

IMHO, no. The CH3 is enough larger than the 2 that you will notice the difference. Not so much in loading time, but in quantity. Its a larger brush for sure. It will take more product.

And, you'll notice the feel of a larger handle in hand. And a much larger feel on your face or head.

That said, its typically a fine brush. However, its large.

If you have the funds and are eying with a CH3, then you will end up buying one.
No real point of asking for advice around here .
But anyway :
You know the CH2 already and expect the CH3 acc. to the dimension to have even more hair. These all want to be loaded. Consequently you will need more product and more time and will end up with even more unused later in the knot after you finished shaving. It will take you more time to clean all of this out of the knot and although it might even be more luxurious than the CH2 is already, it might not get used all that often. Does that help?

In all honesty I couldn't imagine using a much larger brush than a Chubby 2. I have a Rooney 2XL and that's about as big as I am willing to go.

I have both a Chubby2 and 3 in super and occasionally use soaps(but mostly creams). The 3 is significantly bigger.Has a much larger handle and a lot more hair. Extremely dense and great backbone.. Both do a great job with creams and soaps. But I find that the Chubby3 is a real lather hog. As others have told you here,you will be using a lot more product. But its worth it,IMO.
