I recently picked up two R41's off the BST, one had a Weber Bulldog handle, the other an Ikon Bulldog handle. No real reason why I picked up two of the same razor without ever using it, but justified it by telling myself that I would end up selling the one with the handle I liked the least.
These handles for all intent purposes are essentially identical as far as dimensions and weight. They are the exact same length, and weigh pretty much the same, with only a 1 gram difference between the two (Weber: 70g, Ikon: 69g). There are only two major differences that I can find that exist between these handles. The first is the knurling. The weber has a deeper, coarser knurling, and as a result has a 'sharper' grip in the hand. The Ikon's knurling is a bit more polished and refined looking, and feels a touch more slick in my hand compared to the Weber. The other main difference is the price, with the Weber Bulldog costing $38 USD, and the Ikon clocking in at $48 USD.
So which one is better? Well, that's obviously up to the individual, but for me I prefer the Weber. I like the feel of the deeper knurling which provides a much better purchase compared to the ever slightly 'slippery' feel of the Ikon. I put 'slippery' in quotes because it really isn't slippery, but does not provide as sure of a grip as the Weber, and with a razor with the reputation of the R41, I don't want to take any chances! The Ikon has a slightly better finish, but again, taking the feel and grip of the handle into consideration, along with the cost of each, I prefer the Weber.
