I have been a longtime fan of both Saddleback Leatherproducts as well as Mitchell Leather. Recently I discovered another maker of fine leather goods; Colsen Keane.

The owner Scott is based in Charlotte, NC and each of his items is handmade. Icurrently own one of their Micro Wallets as well as their shaving kit in the vegetable tanned leather. After two weeks both items are beginning to darken to a caramel color.
I am in the market for a bag for work and I am debating between the leather backpack and the satchel made from crazy horse leather. While I work in a business casual environment I still want to maintain a professional look and am thinking their backpack will fit the bill; though I am torn. The wallet and shave kit should last a lifetime. I am sure the bag will be something that can be passed along to the next generation.
