Colors of aftershave

Stupid question maybe, but fairly new to aftershaves, especially the ones with alcohol and a smell to them.
And new to perfums as well.
I have now aqua velva from williams. I like the performance of the aftershave, but not so wild about the smell.
So does the color of the aftershave tells you something about the smell? I read a lot of people here raving about a blue aftershave or an orange one.
Or is it just a color to look nice?

Thanks

Q - What is red, and smells like blue paint?
A - Blue paint.

The color of the aftershave has nothing at all to do with the scent.
Green, blue and yellow are common manufacturers selections, but they could just as easily use any other color.
The aftershave doesn't care what dye they are putting in it.

Color is really just for looks. It might be a hint from the manufacturer about what to expect. Green/blue seem to be cooler scents or aquatic scents, red/amber seem to be warmer or spicier scents. Some are clear, like Speick.
