Cold water wet shave

Tried my first shave tonight with cold water. I've been getting less than good shaves on my neck recently and decided to try cold water since I've seen some people choose that route. What are some of your experiences with this? It seemed to turn out better, but the 24 hour mark will reveal more for me.

I have had two CWS in the last few weeks. first one with a Hoffritz Slant - excellent result. second with Progress 510 - terrible, finished it off with the Hoffritz. (I think the blade was a dud so will try again.)

yes - read mretzloff's topic. I did have a good experience with the slant, I think I will only CWS with a slant from now on.

I am loving CWS. The only time I do warm shaves now is my long, luxury Silvertip shave each weekend.

I've been doing this exclusively since learning about it here a week or so ago. For myself I find that I generally don't have to do XTG or ATG passes like I did with hot water. Except in a couple of problem areas where my beard seems to grow sideways.
