Col. Conk soap size

Loking for a soap that will fit my Old Spice mug. Williams and VDH are just a little too small. I was wondering which of the Col. Conk soaps would fit - the large (3.75oz) or the small (2.25oz) ?
Thanks

The small is the exact same size as a puck of VDH. In fact, rumor has it that VDH makes soap for Col Conk. So Col Conk is really just VDH with different scents; and perhaps a slightly different formula. :biggrin1:

I just put a puck of Conk bay rum in an OS mug and stuck in the microwave. 10 seconds and it was melted to size. I put it in the fridge for an hour and it was solid again. It will cool on its own outside the fridge but this speeds it up. Same works for any glycerine soaps.

I've done this with VDH, Colonel Conk, and Mama Bear soaps.

This doesn't work for non-glycerine soaps, but if you mix grated glycerine and non-glycerine soaps into the same container and nuke them the glycerine soap will melt and bond the whole works together. It won't be a homogeneous mixture, but you will have pebbles of the non-clycering soap embedded in the glycerine soap.

My current frankensoap is actually several soap scraps that I was saving in an Old Spice mug. I and poured melted MB aged spice over the top of. When that started to wear in an odd pattern, I popped the soap out of the OS mug, grated it back into the mug, and nuked for 10 seconds.

I use a variety of the smaller pucks in my Shulton Old Spice mug and they do fine. I suppose I could grate or melt the puck but over time the lather fills in or the puck softens and fills in the space. No worries.
