ClubmanRob?

Whatever happened to him?

I joined this forum in early May, 2009 and it has been quite a wonderful and satisfying journey.

I've been thinking about a few members of this forum whom I have not seen in quite some time.

At the top of my list is "ClubmanRob". Is he literally no longer with us, however the meaning?

Regards,

David

Wow.......

O.K.

What else can I say?

Well, I hope that he is at least still alive and otherwise prospering.

Thanks, Luc, for the insight.

Regards,

David

Hi there, a member linked me to this thread and asked me to post. ClubmanRob is indeed alive and well and living in Denmark. I don't know quite when he stopped posting here, but around that time he went to Sweden and got married and came back here for a short time before deciding to go back to Scandinavia.

The last time I talked to him on the phone, he said that he was originally going to move to Sweden, but they wouldn't let him import his firearm collection, so he went to Denmark instead. I know he was having a hard time here finding work in his field but over there he's pulling down a pretty high paying gig that keeps him really busy most of the time. I haven't talked to him in about six months.

I asked him when and if he might come back here to the US, and he stated in no uncertain terms that he would be back when we fixed our healthcare system and elected a decent president. :)

Some folks say he's still out there. Waiting. Watching. Living off the land.

Me? I like to think that he's there where wetshavers look for what really matters in life. In the back aisle of a dusty Sally's, helping a newbie find a bottle of Bay Rum. On the loading dock of a Whole Foods, smashing crates of Thayer's Witch Hazel with an ax handle. In a busy factory somewhere in India, making sure that the chemists are getting just the right amount of fragrance in the bottles of Shulton's Old Spice.

Look inside your hearts, my friends. We are all ClubmanRob.

I heard something about an unpleasant run in with a group of Hell's Angels who told him that witch hazel does not need to contain alcohol.

My life now has meaning and direction.
