Clubman Variety Question

I just ordered a few samplers of Clubman products (along with others) in which includes a sampler of their Citrus Musk. Just now I realized it is sold as a cologne and not an aftershave but the vendor has it as an aftershave. Which one is it? And what is the difference between this and the Lime Sec?

Also, are there any special instructions/recommendations before I try the Lilac Vegetal?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about the Veg but some Clubman products are labeled as After Shave/Colognes and/or splashes but they all work effectively for me as an after shave.

Both the Citrus Musk and Lime Sec are labeled as colognes but are really aftershaves, in my opinion. Don't worry about splashing them on in copious amounts as they will not stay around for too long. They are both similar in scent, although most seem to prefer the Citrus Musk. They both have a lime scent and some say the Lime Sec smells like lime candy as opposed to real limes. The Citrus Musk has a less sweet note with a musk background. I prefer the Citrus Musk by a nose. Regarding The Veg, just jump in with both feet!

The musk in Citrus Musk is very subtle. I blend it with AV Musk.

I, on the other hand tend to think the opposite and lean in the other direction of blending mine with about 3oz of Royall Lymes per 6oz bottle for that 'long-lasting' scent!!

However, although this scent (which I'm sure you're already aware of and other Clubman products), can be 'drying', I add about 10 drops of glycerin per 6oz bottle that greatly increases the moisturizing and toning aspects plus kicks this 'eau de cologne' up a notch!!

Agree with all of this. Citrus Musk can be used liberally. The citrus scent is fleeting; the musk lasts quite a long time, but is not overpowering (unlike AV Musk, in my experience). Citrus Musk also combines well with bay rum. I've mixed it with Pinaud V.I., Master, and Stephan BRs, and it's all good.

Regarding The Veg, just jump in with both feet!

I like The Count's advice of kicking up a notch. Let's see how I like it on it's own once it arrives. Thanks Gents!
