I noticed on the Clubman site that they sell a pure badger brush ( and they clearly state it's an entry level brush ) made by either Simpson or Vulfix I'm not quite sure which one, for $19.95. Of course, they're out of stock but even with shipping that seems to me like a decent deal. Thoughts?

That brush looks like a Vulfix 1000 in pure. It's not a luxury brush by any means. Has a lightweight plastic handle and the badger hair is on the low end of the quality spectrum. Given the price though, it works and not a bad deal for $20.
The brushes looks like Vulfix brushes indeed.
As a big fan of Pinaud Clubman I find the thought of a Clubman brush quite appealing.

Agreed. With the little Clubman dude on there staring back at me. It's a no brainer.
