Did you guys see the "rare 1959 Proto type Gillette Super speed safety Razor" razor?

I wanted it but the bidding went too high for me (and still didn't meet the reserve). Has anybody seen another like it?

You know I swear that I saw this razor hiding in a lot on eBay a month or so ago - but didn't watch it or bid on it - I wouldn't be surprised to see that that's where this razor came from.

Heh, yes he probably did score it on eBay. I've seen about 4 senators sold by him, each with a little blurb in the description about him only seeing two of these and he owns the other one.

I'm wondering just how rare this really is. Was this really just a prototype, or maybe something released to specific markets?

LOL I was watching this one too. But the market said "only" under a hundred yet it was still not meeting reserve. No deal I suppose with anyone.
