Hi all,
I know this thread pops up again and again. I have been reading all about brushes and I've had a lot of fun and learned a lot from reading these threads. People seem so satisfied with their Rooneys. I've been wetshaving for years but always used a cheap more with Williams soap. Now that I am DE shaving I bought a middle of the road (or low end?) pure Badger brush from Omega. I have a scrubby little boar that I just love - it is quite a small brush. It's nice to have two brushes and I enjoy the variety.
I am experimenting with creams mostly lately, but I know that I will end up doing a little of both. My Omega badger brush is great with creams, but it's a little bigger than I would like. I want to try using more different soaps in the future and I think this Rooney sounds perfect.
I decided some ago that I would get a really nice brush and I think I've decided on the Rooney 1/1. Aesthetically it is just so much more appealing to me than the 3/1. but I must admit that there is appeal for me in the 1/1, the 2/1, and the 3/1.
My question for you is . . . how long do you think I will be able to hold out??!! I would like to wait until after Christmas, since I really don't know what Santa will put under the tree this year. Another part of me thinks I will not last through the day.
All the best,
K
