I ran out of the Wahl proprietary oil. I have a variety of different oils in my 'workshop'. Which type of oil is best to use?
Thanks, Gents.
Thanks, Gents.
My Wahl Clipper Oil just says , Wahl Electric Clipper Oil , Wahl Clipper Corp. Sterling , Ill. (something)
then : Danger : Contains Petroleum Distillate (may be harmful if swallowed - call a physician immediately)
I checked 3-in-1 oil : Petroleum Distillate < same thing , I'm pretty sure it's cool .
Sewing machine oil will work, you need a light ,non gumming oil. Some guys use light olive oil to stay away from petro-chemicals....Best thing to do is get some real clipper oil,Andis ,Wahl, Oster all the same ,all excellent.
Sally sells it. I believe it's mineral oil.
Sally sells real clipper oil ,your best bet !

But can you drink it?
Wahl brand at Walmart $2.68, Sallys $3.99; 4 oz. bottle. You could also get a 16 oz bottle of mineral oil at Target for like $2.
I found this when I googled "Wahl clipper oil ingredients":
