Cleaning Vintage Razor Blades in dispenser?

Can razor blades still in dispenser be cleaned either by chemical or ultra sonic cleaner? I have some old de and injectors in dispensers that are dirty. Some of them the oil that was put on the blade from the factory has turned to glue. Some are dirty from improper storage. These blades are not rusted just dirty. Can they be cleaned while still in dispenser or do they need to be removed?
Any thought?

Some old blades give a great shave and last longer. Also to match vintage blades with the correct razor for display and use.

I didn't read the linked thread, but I would start by soaking the dispenser in rubbing alcohol. Of course, it might take off any printing on the packaging if that bothers you.
