Hey dan what's up...

I ordered one vintage razor restored Carl. P. 5/8 from them here to Brazil, and the guy named Phil i think, was very nice to me, good comunication, the razor arrived fast considering it was an international shipping, and the razor looked excelent. I ordered some coticules and I cant wait to arrive...must be arriving this week or next....it was a good deal...

The reason I ask is because I ordered some stuff from them at the end of Jan and they haven't shipped it. Last time I asked them about a status on my order was last week and one of the owners said it would take a couple more days. We are well past the "couple" more days and they haven't communicated any delays. At this point I'm thinking that there is something wrong and they are unwilling to tell me. I have tried to email them politely asking for an update and haven't gotten a response. I'm glad I processed this through PayPal and was about to give them one more day before I open a dispute.

Thanks for the response I really wanted to know if someone had ordered from them before, glad you had a pleasant experience. Wish this order had been completed earlier because frankly I was looking forward to the stuff I ordered.

I have dealt with Phil and Jane (the owners) many times and have always been good to me. It has happened sometimes that they do take a little bit of time to respond or to get an order out but that is because they are swamped. Just be patient and ask again what is happening. I know they get a lot of work and e-mails and they are only two.

From our dealings they seem really good people, I know they say it may take a couple of days to get back and I have been patient.


Update: I just got an email from them finally and they explained the delay, Phil was taking his time with a razor I ordered. The rarity of the razor had him a little nervous and he was just taking extra care. I totally understand the delay now, all they had to do was keep me in the loop and there wouldn't have been a problem.

That said, even with this little hick up I wouldn't give a second thought to ordering from them again or recommending them. Their customer service is top notch.

Do not go past 45 days without starting a paypalclaim or you lose any recourse. It has to be escalated to claim within 45 days but other than thatI would wait it out until I had to act.

I ordered my starter kit from Classic Edge week before last christmas. It arrived on new year's eve to me in Finland. There was extra shaving cream tube as a gift. My order was standard products so I have no bad experiences about this shop. They delivered my order really fast even there was christmas rush going on. Straight razor was shave ready like they promise.

I have ordered often from Phil and Jane and they are both class acts.
They have great prices for here in Canada and free shipping over 100 bucks which is a big savings for us in Canada.
Just received my 2 Naniwa super stones some razor pins and scales from them.
I also know they are very busy and they are swamped with emails so sometimes they might take a little longer to reply to me also but worth the wait.

This order i just received took a little longer as there was a mix up at the post office but they took care of it and sent me some gifts also with my order.

Be patient and email them if there is a problem and they will take care of you with great service and even greater communication.

They have this awesome Spartacus straight razor i keep eying but i got to raise some funds for that one as it is a little pricy for me.
