I wore a lot of those when I was active Air Force and later in the Reserves.

I had a chunky pair of Sketchers about eight years ago but the sole eventually wore down as it was all rubber and I wore them mostly to work downtown where I did a lot of sidewalkin'. Great chunky look with a little detail in the toe. I can't find them anymore.

For comfort, it's hard to beat Ecco. I have not had either of these styles, so I can't comment on quality or other attributes. But, I have never had an Ecco that I didn't like for comfort.
