It is paper micarta.
Good looking brush.
That turned out very nice, congratulations! The shape & grain work very well together. How does it feel in the hand? The knot should perform great.

For me it feels very Natural in my hand...I have large arthritic hands and the facets help it feel solid.
It should be on display at an art gallery! Very cool!
