CKTG is fast too.
A piece of advice do not go baseless, choseras are known to crack after a while.

Cool, very good to know.
How long is a while? I've had mine for 9 months and it hasn't cracked yet.
I've had good dealings with sharpeningsupplies.com, although I've never ordered the stone in question. They have them though.
Been over a year for me and it looks minty fresh except for the label being worn off. I splash and go, and do not soak.

I don't know, i know people have been complaining that after some use with lapping when the stone gets thinner it develops cracks, some have reported stone splitting too.
None of mine have cracked.
I would imagine that, if there really are people's with cracked Choseras, they didn't dry them correctly, and/or they soaked them too long prior to honing on them.
Mine are all baseless - I get to use the edge, which is a good thing.

Those were people that know their way around stones and edges.
I mounted mine on a abase long ago and already less than half left, no problem. It could have been bad batch(es) who knows, I decided to be proactive just in case.
I got mine from SRD.
Chef knives to go. I actually like the 800 more than the 1k.
Sometimes I feel the same...love the 800.
