Choosing only one of everything

I do prefer the open comb format generally. It just makes sense to let the lather through to the blade. Sadly the OC option wasn’t available when I bought my Vector. I’ve been asking myself a lot recently if it’s possible to beat perfection. Logic would say that it not but still I wonder if it’s possible to improve on my current kit.

I was fortunate enough to get both plates, so I could compare. Again, to me, OC is the clear winner. If you prefer OC in general, you'll love it.

I actually sold the Vector. I am planning on getting a Vector Ti and didn’t need both the SS and Ti.

The cologne was the only difficult choice. I love Rania J.'s Ambre Loup, but not every day. Aventus and Acqua di Parma Colonia are also favorites. But for daily it came down to Spice Bomb or Eau des Baux, and the Eau des Baux is my wife's favorite.

I'm having too much fun with my recently acquired DE razors to choose just one.... prior to this, it would have been easy since I used my ESC Claymore Evolution for 5+ months in a row. I also have a ATT X1 AC slant razor being delivered tomorrow. <eg>

From time-to-time on the forum, I see posts asking “if you could only have one razor for the rest of your life...”, or, “if you were stranded on a desert island with just one shaving setup, what would you choose?”

Well, today I had to pack up my shaving gear for a bathroom remodel (about 20 razors and 15 brushes; lots of creams and soaps, after shaves, etc.), and I found myself selecting. I had to grab something I will use exclusively for the next few weeks. Without much indecision I chose the following:

Razor: Razorock Game Changer 0.84
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super
Blades: Feather Hi-stainless (yellow)
Cream: C. O. Bigelow green
After Shave: Nivea Sensitive Balm

I normally rotate through about half a dozen razors, 3-4 brushes, and many creams/soaps (almost always use Feather blades). These items I selected have provided reliably good shaves for me lately.

It was in interesting exercise for me - thought I’d share.

Nice choices and I know CO Bigelow will see you through no problems, I used it exclusively for about 2 years once. Did you know It's provided by our good friends at Proraso?
