What's new

Chesterfield ink by xfountainpens

Has anyone used this ink? I've read that it may be rebottled diamine, and just received a bottle of turquoise and ruby. First impressions are limited, but the colors of these 2 inks are vibrant. I like them, but thought I'd see what others may think who have used it over a longer term. So far, it seems to flow well, and doesn't try to dry out overnight like scribal workshop. The drying out is what got me away from SWS. The ink was nice, but I got tired of repriming my pens every morning.

The ruby is my new ink for checking drawings at work, and it definitely is a bright red.

Turquiose is absolutely beautiful. My wife and daughter both liked the color, and I think they will end up inking their pens with it on the next refill.

They are, in fact, rebranded Diamine. I have zero issue buying the rebranded inks and the bottles are great for travel.

The price per ounce is about the same as Diamine, but it is only in a 25 or 50 ml bottle. Diamine normally uses 30/80, I believe.

I've definitely found my checking ink at work. The Ruby color is vibrant, and stands out so there are fewer oversights. Also, it doesn't dry out in the pen overnight. We'll see how it does this weekend. I'm becoming a Diamine fan.

I started out using mostly Noodler's inks, but lately I've been gravitating to Diamine inks. Good prices, excellent color selections, and they don't seem to have the temperamental issues that afflict some Noodler's inks.

Thanks, Daniel. Those bottles are darned versatile.

You know, with rare exceptions, I pretty much can't stand Noodler's inks at this point.
