Cheap tobacco off the bay

So I pick up some cheap tobacco off the bay. 9oz for 15.00.. First time pipe smoking and was not looking to spend a lot of money..

Is there a way, you flavor it with rum ?

I’m not sure, but if you look around you can find Peter Stokebye’s blends that run about $30/pound and usually Sutliff too.

I looked it up and it is already flavored, so try it first to see. I tried to flavor some tobacco with liquor but it was hard to not over saturate it.

Put the tobacco in a bowl. Stand a shot glass of rum in the middle of the tobacco. Cover the bowl and let it sit for 30 days. The tobacco will absorb the rum (infusion). Check after 15 days to see if it has absorbed enough. It mellows the tobacco.
