Cheap 10KG box of Jnats

Well they are on sale on yahoo auctions so they are therefore Japanese and they look like natural stones so I guess they can be called jnats. In any case they are in the hone section and currently going for 1, yes 1 Yen. Cheaper than a Gold Dollar - thats about 2 of your US cents.

Oh yeah and 330mate sells there too and has Loooooooads of jnats of all sorts and sizes. Goes by the name fujibatocom. I'm interested in ordering my Christmas present via my bro!

Is there any indication of where the stones came from? For that price I'm sure some of us hone making guys would buy an unlapped stone if ya get them!

those are junk leftovers 330mate gets when he is cutting the stones he sell, totally useless , speaking from experience.
What you see on the pic is not what you going to get, there is no kopa sized pieces in the lot.

These aren't from our good old 330 but probably right that they are off cuts. Sorry to have gotten your hopes up, I posted this as a joke and I'm not even dreaming about buying any, well maybe not at the moment but who knows! If I ever get the urge to try them I'll let you all know.

330 mate buys a box like that, laps one side flat, adds his "official JNat" stamps and sells it to you guys for $200 a piece.

I'm going to pick up some roadside rocks while here in Japan and do likewise. They're JNats, right?:001_cool:

Make sure it's not reconstituted rock, that would be a synth.

Craig, if you travel light 10 keys of rocks would fit in the hand carry wouldn't it?

I'll send you some Australian rocks if you like. Postage might be a killer.
I've seen a big orange looking one that I quite fancy, has similar native stamps on it to those that 330mate sells, think they were done by the aborigines. I hear it changed it's name not long ago. You know how much postage would be? :)

Depends. Do you want me to lap the top?

David, I wouldn't expect anything less from your good self! If you could also bevel the edges it'd be much appreciated.
For info I think that type of stone needs lapping up to about 1000 grit, hope you've got shares in 3M!

I was just going to get the tourists to wear sandpaper shoes, and then shuffle about when they are up top.
