Yesterday's shave was a little rough (some razor burn, especially on the right side of my neck).
So, for this morning's shave, I tried to make sure I would not get any burn. I know you're supposed to change one thing at a time but I changed about four.
1) I applied canned goo in the shower and let it sit on my face for about 3 minutes before rinsing it off.
2) I used two drops of KoS preshave oil.
3) I lathered my VDH Deluxe using Josh's method, which I have never done before (for those who don't know, it's taking a wet brush to the puck and wasting lots of foam down the drain, continuing to lather on the puck for a long time until you get a good consistency of lather; I want to use up my VDH soon anyway, so I can open my Provence Sante Green Tea soap).
4) I face lathered the result of step #3 (I usually bowl lather).
Bottom line? Awesome shave.
Only problem is now I don't know what did the trick.
I guess I'll continue to Josh-lather my VDH so I can get it used up.
