Looks like Mountain Ash berries to me.
Man, that's a hard call, but I think you are right about it. Sounds like a good tree for an old man to plant, I'm too old to see an oak mature, lol! I'm also in zone 5ish. 6 might be pushing it for me, but it is beautiful, and sounds like a good bush/tree for birds.... Thanks for the education brother!I could see the resemblance but it doesn't look exactly the same. I don't think I'm quite in the range of that plant either, though this specimen was on city property that is landscaped to some extent so it was likely planted.
