This was done with my Galaxy S23C phone and my new "Puluz" 40cm x 40cm Lightbox. It's my first use of the 'Lightbox'. Light quality (5500k) and control is very nice. Overall, quite pleased with the purchase.

A few of my shots of the eclipse today from Regina.

Camera phones these days are pretty crazy. I'm a complete amateur.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. 200mp 'space camera'.
Cheap tripod.
Remote shutter.
Unused portion of an xray film taped to the lens cluster.
(save the phone, it's the cheapest rig ever...if you've got an old xray you're willing to cut up).

We got 51% totality from this location.
We had light cloud cover during the eclipse maximum coverage here. But it was still a pretty good show.

Edit to add: screen cap of the actual solar forecast. The sunspots match up.

I think the xray film worked really well. I would have have thought of it, but my lady friend is an xray tech. She suggested it, had the xray films, plus it makes sense.

You can't use part that has bone images on it, but the fully dark border parts are perfect or seems.

I haven't had a camera this crazy before and this was it's first real test.

And I totally meant to say I 'wouldn't' have thought of it!
