Castle Forbes Lime Shaving Cream WOW!

So I've been trying out my new Castle & Forbes Lime shaving cream the last couple of days. Paired it with Trumper's Lime Skin Food, and Musgo Real aftershave. I have to say I absolutely love this cream. The smell is out of this world...think super fresh super limey. Like someone else here said, think "the peel of a freshly cut lime". Its fantastic. The lather is large and in charge, very slick, and cushiony. Absolutely one of the best I have in my den. Fantastic stuff, albeit pricey. Love it!!

I had a similar reaction to the CF Lavendar that I picked up last weekend. Great lather, amazing scent. Castle Forbes' reputation is justified.

Someday I'll order the CF lime aftershave and use that..just short on funds right now :(

You have something to look forward to, the after shave is just as good as the cream, and you really don't have to use much of it.
I am however somewhat biased as I prefer AS balms, but this one is great  - despite the price.

Castle Forbes produces some of the very best shaving creams on the market.
It is absolutely true that CF is "a cut above".
In my opinion Castle Forbes is as good as Truefitt & Hill, or maybe even better.
Moisturizing properties, slickness, scent and overall quality are top notch.
Really amazing.

Well I've only tried the CF Lime and the T&H Trafalgar, but I'd definitely say the CF is better!

I'm quickly developing a SCAD, and this is now on my shopping list.

I understand! I developed an acute case of SSAD and SCAD instantly. I've now got 1 razor, 2 brushes, and like a dozen plus soaps and creams. Heheh.... now RRAD is starting to kick in and I'm going vintage shopping this weekend to hunt for an old fatboy, slim, and 40's style superspeed! Just wait! :w00t:

Well, if I should choose one brand, Castle Forbes would be it.
No doubt.

That's a tough call for me. My top three favorite cream brands, though, without question are Trumper, T&H and CF. Asking which two I'd be willing to give up to name my single favorite would be like asking me which of my fingers I'd want to have chopped off. Today, I'd probably say Trumper would be the keeper (specifically Coconut), but that could just as easily change tomorrow, and probably will.

My top three favourite cream brands are the same you have just listed: Castle Forbes, Truefitt & Hill and Trumpers.
And exactly in that order.
Castle Forbes is so special and unique that I simply prefer it over everything else.

Indeed. I wonder whether the hoopla over soap reformulation would die down if more members had a similar rotation of quality creams.

Although it comes with a high price tag, the density of CF cream borders along the lines of a soft soap so the CF cream is going to last a long time. When you average it out on a per shave basis and adding the product's superior quality I think you've found yourself a great bargain.
