Almost any razor can give a good shave with proper prep IMO.

Any decent quality equipment will do the job, agree!

I never travel with my regular razors and use carts, etc. on the road. Most are fine…

I read so many good reviews of the Bic Metal that I ordered some. It's pretty nice. It's never going to replace a DE for me, but it's a good travel razor and it's cheap.

If/when I have to use a disposable razor, I opt for a cheap Equate from Walmart. (These are tor the back of my neck and around my ears). The rest of the time it is a DE razor for me.

I find that keeping it simple and straightforward is the best approach.

I have used both the Lidl and aldi razors which were fine for traveling, though ended up coming back to the trac as my travel razor.

If it says Gillette, I’ll use it. I get great shaves from all their cartridge offerings.

IMHO, the Sensor was the pinnacle of cart razors, the decline beginning with the Sensor Excel.
