Is there anything recommended to do to care for ebonite? I've read that it can oxidize over time. I know that pipe smokers sometimes treat ebonite pipe stems to preserve them.

great question! I wonder if @Rudy Vey has an insight for this? So far mine is doing ok, but we discovered the choice of "black" we had was actually a Japanese dark green often used in their pottery. For a brush now, it is like a flat black. You mention oxidation, I wonder if a bee's wax wouldn't be a good barrier/seal?
