Car wax shave soap?

So I was waxing my car today and it hit me. Maybe it's just the gearhead in me, but I like shaving and I like taking care of my car, so...why not combine the two? I would shave with a carnauba wax scented shave soap, in fact it would become a mainstay of my rotation . Would anyone else be interested in such a crazy concoction?

Well, it hasn't happened yet, the wax would totally destroy the slick factor. I'm just talking about that car wax scent in a typical soap. And yes, I do believe there are a couple screws loose...but not in my engine bay!

Count me in!

You may be on to something here. Manly scents like car wax, fresh oil, diesel fuel, campfire, grilled meat, etc. Things that most men love to smell.

it depends. what kind of wax scent are we talking about.

I'm all down for a Autoglym HD wax, or a Chemical Guys hybrid V7 scent

Along that line of thinking, try the QCS Cordovan Tub Cream or Puck, for me it brings back boyhood memories of shining my dad's work boots with Cordovan polish, I love this scent.

Musgo Real Orange Amber smells just like turtle wax to my nose and it is an amazing cream.

I'm searching for it now!

I use Meguiar's Gold Class carnauba wax, it's pretty much the same smell as Turtle Wax or any other carnauba wax.

I'd go for any unconventional "manly" scent, such as sawdust (maybe I'll combine MB's Sawdust and a cedarwood scent, that could be interesting), leather, like mftoms59 mentioned; a charcoal bbq fire, but not motor oil. Being a wrench monkey, I typically smell like oil after a day at work, and it smells awful to my nose now. Oddly enough, used gear oil, as found in differentials, smells like grape soda to me.

I hear what you're saying.
Not to shave with car wax, but just a wax scented product.

I think it's a great idea... there are certainly far crazier fragrances out there including gasoline and "hot motor oil".

I agree, I enjoy the QCS Provence which is heavy on Cedar with some earthiness and the Basilica, a thick incense aroma which reminds me of Catholic Church during the Christmas Holiday. I find these unique and almost intoxicating :001_cool:, much like Tabac is unlike any other scent.

I dont know... Mothers carnauba wax smells pretty good and certainly better than some stuff out there. Oh, and the slickness!?!?!? Forget about it.
