Canvas Strops

I recently found a couple of Monark canvas strops in an antique store. Anyone ever heard of them? They seem to be fairly old.

One side of my strop is canvas. It's good to maintain the edge but you will need leather to keep the edge smooth.

if the leather is smooth, no cracks it should be a nice strop.

There are no leather strops. Just two canvas ones. I just wondered if anyone had ever heard of that brand of strop before, or knew anything about them.

i have a MONARK 968 horsehide strop, i like it alot. it has a canvas strop also. the cavas side is my favorite of 4 such canvas strops i own. if they were available to me i would not hesitate to purchase them, hope this helps. tom
