Can't find a review of these

Hey gang,

I've searched the forum and cannot find a review of these colognes, anyone tried or used these that can shed some light on how they wear? Thanks in advance ;)

Run a search on this forum and maybe all of B&B, and some things should come up. I did a test running a search in the body of messages on Marlborough in the cologne forum and got hits. I have tried the AS version of Marlborough but not the EDC. I do not think I have tried the GF Trumper SW or the DRH Lavender!

Not sure what you are looking for in the way of a review. If it is helpful, I have TOBS sandalwood edt and a sample of GFT sandalwood edt. Of the two, I prefer the TOBS (smells better to me in the dry down and is not as expensive). Both are warm, floral and spicy. Best description of each is probably on Basenotes. I am personally glad I ignored the "pans" on Basenotes. I would say that both of them have a lot in common with T&H Spanish Leather and D.R. Harris sandalwood.

In your research, remember that waters are the weakest of the fragrances, meant to be used as a refreshing splash. Lavender waters, by in large, won't last more than an hour or two without splashing on more. If you want a lavender scent that will last longer, then we are into another subject.

Within lavender waters the gamut runs from mint/medicinal to floral/sweet. Believe from researching that D.R. Harris is more towards the medicinal end of the spectrum. Crabtree & Evelyn (my personal favorite) is on the floral/sweet end. One I found to be sort of in the middle is TOBS lavender water. An advantage of the TOBS lavender water is that it is also a good aftershave splash. Suspect the others work as an aftershave as well, but haven't tested them.

Thanks guys, I went over to basenotes and did some reading. Also found a few references here after doing some more digging. I guess I just wanted to know if someone here "loved" or "hated" them, lol. Even though I know likes and dislikes are all subjective to the user.

Thanks again, have some samples on the way and will try them out and make a decision then.
