Cant decide... Geo F Trumber, TOBS or Proraso.. 4

Hey everyone,

My first tub of Geo F Trumper Coconut is almost finished and I need to buy a new shaving cream. I have to say I love my current cream but thought I should try others too!

So....

Should I stick to Geo F Trumer and maybe try a different scent?

Or

Try some good old TOBS but then what scent should I buy from there?

Or

Get a tub of Proraso?

What would you do?

try something different. I've only ever tried Proraso from your list but I also have bodyshop maca root and JM Frasers in my rotation. I would probably try the TOBS since it seems to get favorable reviews here

You can almost buy both the TOBS and Proraso for the price of Trumper's. IMO, TOBS is *the* best bang for your buck in creams.

Replace the GFT Coconut. Buy TOBS Rose and Sandalwood. Consider a tube of GFT Violet for special days.

I have a tub of GFT Violet and really like it, but I use my tube of Proraso pretty much everyday. Proraso has the cooling effect that I can't get enough of. You will get a great shave from either.

My vote is for a tube of Proraso AND a tub of TOBS. For the TOBS scent, I would recommend either the rose or the avocado.

TOBS Avocado would be my recommendation... I've not reached for Proraso in several months now

I would try tube of Trumpers with a different scent (Violet, Rose or Limes are my favorites) and a tube of Proraso.

I couldn't agree more. I love the moisture of the avocado, but the Rose scent.... mmmm heaven.

Get a TOBS Sampler from shavingessentials.net ($20) and a tube of Proraso. That'll be the same price as the Trumpers.

If you want a quality shaving cream at a fair price and with a masculine smell, buy Proraso.

A big +1 on the Proraso. Can't beat the stuff for that price.
But you may also want to stick with Geo. F.
I use the Limes, and I think it is fantastic.

(also should notoce that Muhle and Tabac make very good shaving cream also)

That's what I was thinking. Might even be worth your while to throw in a sampler from Trumpers along with that for a few more bucks. Make sure you tell them I already tried their coconut shaving cream and was interested in trying some of their other scents.

I think Trumpers is the best cream out there, so personally I'd try an new scent, the Sandalwood, GFT and Limes are fantastic.

It's great to try out different products, and depending on your budget why not get all the creams you mentioned and start a weekly rotation?

I got the TOBS shaving cream sampler from Shaving Essentials and have been having a good time going through the different scents. I think it was 10 samples for 20 bucks. Each sample is easily good for 5 shaves if not more.

If you like the Trumper's, I would order a new tub of Trumper's in a different scent. Go for the Limes.

Well put it this way, in the UK £27 GBP buys you a Trumpers, a Taylors and a tub of Proraso. Why not get all 3?

Proraso should be something you have on hand at all times. No doubt you should get some of that. I also have TOBS Rose and Eton College both of which I would highly recommend. However, I would look at the scents and decide on one that appeals to you. And if you can't decide, like someone already said, the sampler is a great idea.
