What's new

Can't believe that LeCoq went for that.

If I ever need to put mine on the bay, I know what to say: "A lovely french razor... Indubitably!" BTW, I sent them a message about that case probably not being original and they reply in the same ridiculous form of english they use for their descriptions..

For that kind of money if you want a lecoq, you should be able to get an adjustable one...

The one thing this LeCoq has going for it is it may be the most aggressive de ever made. It's highly controlled aggression, but within its range of use, holy hell.

Well, this time their leresche and lecoq auctions had what appear to be common bidders between them. I wonder how often they crop up in bid histories, if at all besides. I dearly miss when bidder history was public. People have no attention spans these days, so insane, long-winded descriptions aren't adding 50% extra value to things....

I love these razors, i think that they are so beautiful yet functional. I think i will go for one of these

$leq.jpg My LeCoq. Whatever imperfections it has are slight. It is ~VERY PRETTY~ and ~SHAVE READY~ To use with my NOS Feather blades..... Indubitably!

I see allot of crazy prices on the bay. Last week I saw a Hoffritz Slant go for more than $550! I'm glad I only like modern DEs the old ones seem to cost more than new ones now.

Wasn't that aussie ebay? Their prices are probably artificially skewed because nobody wants to ship anything over there anymore.

I think those things are going to be the next $500+ razor.... They came in a few variants and are beautiful.

But back on topic, what annoys me about them is that it is screwing prices in the wild even. People only look at the highest sell price on ebay and are blind to the fact that every other one sells for less and that ebay rapes you every which way on fees. I've seen filthy, brassed fatboys in the wild with $120 tags, german razors rank with zinc pest with huge tags, you name it. It's all out of whack. They ever sell a rolls razor? Waiting for them to sell a viscount for $150 so it skews rolls prices in the wild even more than they are as is.
