This morning I took a can of Proraso foam, pic attached, and squirted too much into a bowl. I applied to my face with my cheap, highly functional synthetic Omega S brush. I was really very pleased with the whole deal. Probably better than my slap dash lathering technique. I'll be doing this again, especially when I need a quicker shave. I wonder if that's the way this was meant to be used. Wish I could read the directions. How's your Italian?

Proraso also makes this same product as a cream in a tube and a croap in a tub. With that said, I highly doubt the foam was intended to be applied with a brush.
Foam isn’t meant for use with shaving brush, ok for quick shave. Cream and soap are vastly superior.
Get the yellow can, squirt into bowl add a couple of drops of water and work it with a brush - works very well!

Nothing wrong with using that way. Most canned foams are better that way IMO.

Back on topic, a shaving brush can certainly be used for applying canned foam. But the best lather still comes from a traditional shaving soap or cream.
