Can you identify this brush brand?

This is one of my favorite brushes, but I'm not sure who made it.
Top looks like faux ivory (Ivorene), and the bottom is maroon bakelite.

A lot of the Erskine brushes used this type of styling. That would be my best guess, based on the New York marking and the diamond E.

BTW: Nice brush!

Erskine is a New York brand? I didn't know they used a diamond & E.
Great, this is food for more research.
Appreciate the response!

That is a beauty of a brush, I can't help with the identification, only comment on the mysterious meaning of the "E" in the diamond. I'm not convinced that it necessarily means the brush was made by erskine. I have an old butterscotch brush, that looks like a Simpson style handle, but was made in Britain by Saybrooke. A company that I cannot find any info on. It also has the mysterious "E" in the diamond, but on the base of the brush. My only hunch, which could be way off is the practice during WWII of the government awarding companies which had government contracts to produce goods for the war effort, an
" efficiency E " for meeting production goals.

That may be able correlate to US companies as well because the brush and razor companies were commended (as well as commandeered) on their assistance in the war effort. A British awarding to a company in an Allied country could be a possibility.

I have a brush that is similar in the limited logo and markings. The difference is that my brush has a Heart with an "R" in it. Still don't know who made it.
