Can this price be real?

Found SupremeCamera.com advertising Nikon D90, body only, for $339. How can this be. Seems too good to be true--which means it usually is. Anyone with info/insight on this? Thanks.

That is a VERY low price - I just checked eBay for the last 30 days of completed sales on D90 bodies and the cheapest was $405 with an average of about $700

Thanks Andrew---After reading those reviews I'm going to pass on that price. Sounds like an invitation to trouble. Much obliged. I'm a BB fan for life now---or at least for the forseeable future----Bagman52

Not a problem... I hope you enjoy the shaving community here!

good advise i use reseller rating for all websites before i purchase-- comments by users real people and they give the sellers oppurtunity to rebute.

saved me many headaches... g luck

Only buy from a reputable source.

- b and h
- keh

- cameta...that one's not 100%
- wolf/ ritz...though they suck

If it's priced too low, it IS something wrong. They are bait and switch companies.

Batteries, straps, lens caps, etc. will cost through the roof. They take stuff out and sell it back to you for an inflated price. Don't buy it, demand stuff and they "lose" your order, things are backordered, all that good stuff. You catch hell trying to get a refund. Companies pack up and leave virtual town. DBA new place tomorrow. CC disputes take forever, numbers they have are often invalid or everything gets put on hold.

stay away. b and h will be your best bet all the way around.

Watch out for the various lowball camera sites. Often, they're just scammers. You place an order, then they call you and refuse to complete the sale unless you buy $500 or $600 or crappy accessories they paid $50 for. There are lots and lots of well-known scams out there.

I only deal with the trustworthy ones, like B&H, J&R, Ritz, Beach Camera, Adorama, and a few others. Usually they're within a few dollars of each other, but check to see if they have closeouts or promos. I bought my Nikon from Beach because they were closing that model out and had a great price on NOS ones while the others were out of stock.
