What's new

can someone identify this pen?

Hello, this is my first post around here  I have a Montblanc pen that I can't properly identify, I saw some Montblanc pens that resemble this but in green and grey striped colour, also I looked through some catalogs I found while browsing but I haven't seen this exact pen anywhere so I'm not really sure if it's genuine, the only thing I know is my grandmother had it for atleast 60 years. On the end of the cap it's engraved MONTBLANC Masterpiece. Thanks and sorry for my english, rafy

If its a pen your grandma has had for 60 years I'd hang onto it... may become something future generations would like to keep in the family

I couldnt tell you the date on it, but it looks to be like a genuine Montbanc. If it were me, I would send it off to have it restored. I know that the stripped pens are not the most common of Montblanc pens.

Looks like a Montblanc 642, very nice pen. Excellent restorers can be found in Germany for that job.

I want to welcome you to the Nib and to B&B!

Welcome- looks like Doug gave you the info. I don't think counterfeits were all that common 60+ years ago.
