What's new

Can anyone identify this (not shaving) brush?

I just got this lot, and the Rubberset brush is in great condition. Dirty and faded, but no cracks or bumps and the wood is solid, so it'll make a very cool restore job. I just need to remove the knot and check the size so I can order a Silvertip for it.
Now, the other brush is interesting. Is that a shoe brush? It has "Sanders Brothers Inc" embossed in the wood handle.

Anyone know what it is for?

Shoe brush. I have one nearly identical. Put a great shine on my boots and shoes when I was in the army.

My guess would be clothing brush.

I thought that too, but then I remembered my dad's suit brush back in the 70s and the bristles were much softer and longer. This one much more resembles a shoe brush, but I was just curious about the curved shape.

I would agree, but so is a shoe brush.

I did not find a curved brush in either case. It is an interesting find either way.
